As a class assignment we were asked to redesign the Riot Fest landing page and the ticket flow for both mobile and web interfaces.

The old Riot Fest design opts to compress all ticketing tiers and amenities into an inconvenient table with no live text. Additional pain points include several redundant ticket buttons, few images of the festival itself, and an overall lack of voice throughout.

Web Design UX Art Direction

Simplifying the landing page while updating typographic and visual style provides users a straightforward ticket purchasing that feels fresh. Utilizing Riot Fest’s unique illustrative graphics in the hero image brings a clear voice to the landing and ticketing pages.

We were also tasked with creating personas for three potential users seeking to purchase Riot Fest tickets through the webpage.

Through comparative analysis, we researched other music festivals and took inventory of their content, audience, functions, ticketing processes, as well as a general look and feel.
